About

You may be seeking psychotherapy for a number of reasons: for help with everyday relationships, struggles in everyday life or without a specific problem you can identify but want to increase your self-awareness to live Life more fully. For me, the journey of psychotherapy is about deeper self-knowledge to find greater authenticity and wholeness.

With over 30 years’ experience of working with people from all backgrounds and walks of life, firstly working in Zimbabwe for 17 years before coming to the UK and now working in the NHS, my person-centred approach has helped me connect with many different people.

I believe the challenges and stresses of life be they physical, emotional or mental can often provide an opportunity to really look at your life, explore what you want to be different as well as a chance to deepen your relationship to yourself and transform your sense of well-being. I aim to provide a safe accepting place where we work together to understand the influence of the past on present behaviours and feelings, to encourage self-reflection and examine unresolved conflicts, giving you back more control of your daily life.

As an integrative therapist, I draw on psychodynamic (making sense of the past), person-centred, attachment, existentialism (examining purpose and meaning in living) and CBT (examining our thought patterns) approaches to help me to find the most fruitful way of working with people suffering from

  • Depression
  • Anxiety
  • Psychosomatic conditions
  • Gender and sexuality issues
  • Abuse (physical, sexual, emotional, psychological)
  • Obsessional behaviour
  • Dissatisfaction in work/life
  • Relationship difficulties
  • Self-awareness

I work with individuals on either a long or short term basis and we would both commit to a process of working together even when things feel tough. (It is well-known that things often feel worse before they feel better in therapy). That said, you are always free to change the arrangement.

To make an appointment:

Please complete the contact form below with your phone number as it is helpful to begin with a telephone conversation at a time when you have a private environment to talk freely about what to expect.

If we both decide to go ahead, we would then arrange an initial assessment session which is an opportunity to talk about things in more detail. This would include the practical aspects of beginning to work together in terms of breaks, fees, billing and cancellation policy etc.

Then regular meetings can be set up, which would typically be once a week with sessions lasting for 50 minutes. I can offer either face to face appointments at the Therapy Rooms Enfield building or virtual appointments via your preferred medium.
